Release 1.0 - Stargate 2 and Intel Mote 2

Release 1.0 supports the hardware fixes for Stargate 2.2. Its primary enhancements are:

  • CC2420 radio driver - compatible with the TinyOS MAC (802.15.4 subset)
  • LED drivers for SG2

Release 0.5 - Stargate 2 and Intel Mote 2

Release 0.5 captures the hardware fixes for Stargate 2.1. Its primary enhancements are:

  • PC Card modifications for rev 2.1
  • Introduction to a system build environment with files systems build
  • Power control
  • SRAM support
  • USBnet gadget
  • Power monitoring
  • I2C features

Release 0.4 - Stargate 2 and Intel Mote 2

Release 0.4 integrates the Stargate 2 and Intel Mote 2 releases. Its primary enhancements are:

  • PC Card support
  • Bluetooth support
  • Introduction to a file system build environment with files systems build from
    • Familiar 0.8.2 feed
    • Open Zaurus 3.5.3 feed
  • ov511 and pwc driver support for Creative and Logitech webcams

One kernel, boot loader, and file system support the Stargate and Intel Mote. They are differentiated by which modules the file system loads.

Release 0.3 - Stargate 2

Release 0.3 targets the Stargate 2. It's primary enhancements are:

  • Upgrade to Linux 2.6.14
  • Linux SD card support
  • Blob TFTP support for flashing images

Given, that the Intel Mote 2 does not support wired Ethernet and have an SD card slot, this release is not a good candidate for it and has not been tested on it.

Release 0.2 - Stargate 2

Rlease 0.2 targets the Stargate 2. It's primary enhancements over 0.1 are:

  • Wired Ethernet
  • USB host

Given, that the Intel Mote 2 does not support wired Ethernet and USB host, this release is not a good candidate for it and has not been tested on it.

Release 0.1 - Intel Mote 2

The primary motivation for release 0.1 is to make an experimental version of Linux 2.6 and Blob available for the Intel Mote 2. (The Stargate 2 is not available for testing at release time. However, does run on the Stargate 2.) This is not anywhere near a complete release. Much work remains to enable Linux and Blob features and drivers.
